ITINERARY


Day 1: Sunday, June 21 - Depart for Italy

Depart on overnight flight to Milan, beginning a spiritual and cultural journey through the heart of Northern Italy.


Day 2: Monday, June 22 - Welcome to Milan

Arrive at Milan’s Malpensa Airport and transfer to your centrally located four-star hotel. Enjoy time to rest and refresh before gathering this evening for a festive Welcome Dinner and introduction to your fellow pilgrims. Overnight in Milan.


Day 3: Tuesday, June 23 - The Spiritual Heart of Milan

Begin with Mass in the crypt of the magnificent Duomo di Milano, where the relics of St. Charles Borromeo are enshrined. Continue with a guided visit of the cathedral, its rooftop terraces, and sacred crypt. Enjoy lunch in a local trattoria before visiting Santa Maria delle Grazie to view Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, the Biblioteca Ambrosiana to see Leonardo’s Codex Atlanticus, and the Crypt of San Sepolcro, where St. Ambrose once prayed. Evening free. Overnight in Milan.


Day 4: Wednesday, June 24 - St. Ambrose & Franciacorta

This morning, celebrate Mass at the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, final resting place of Milan’s patron, St. Ambrose. Then journey to Franciacorta, renowned for its sparkling wines. Tour the Tenuta Ambrosini estate and enjoy a gourmet lunch and wine tasting overlooking the vineyards. Overnight in Milan.


Day 5: Thursday, June 25 - Pavia & St. Augustine

Travel to Pavia for Mass at San Pietro in Ciel d’Oro, where St. Augustine rests beside St. Boethius. Visit the magnificent Certosa di Pavia, one of Italy’s most beautiful monasteries, then enjoy lunch and a tasting at Travaglino Estate before returning to Milan. Overnight in Milan.


Day 6: Friday, June 26 - Lake Como Region

Venture north to Lake Como, visiting Varenna and ferrying to Bellagio for Mass at San Giacomo Basilica. Lunch at a lakeside restaurant precedes a visit to Villa Carlotta’s gardens and museum. Overnight in Milan.


Day 7: Saturday, June 27 - Milan - PIME - Stresa

Celebrate Mass at the PIME Martyrs Chapel, visit the Museo Popoli e Culture, and meet with PIME missionaries. Participate in a hands-on “Cook & Dine” class before transferring to Stresa on Lake Maggiore. Overnight in Stresa.


Day 8: Sunday, June 28 - The Borromean Islands

After morning Mass at the Hermitage of San Remigio, cruise to the Borromean Islands—Isola Bella, Isola Madre, and Isola dei Pescatori—with lunch on the fishermen’s island. Overnight in Stresa.


Day 9: Monday, June 29 - Lake Maggiore & Santa Caterina del Sasso

Sail to the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso for Mass, then continue to Arona to see the colossal statue of St. Charles Borromeo. Enjoy a cheese and wine experience at Guffanti Fiori and dinner overlooking the lake. Overnight in Stresa.


Day 10: Tuesday, June 30 - Lake Orta & Final Evening

Travel to Lake Orta for Mass at the Basilica of San Giulio and visit the Mater Ecclesiae Abbey. Enjoy leisure time in Orta San Giulio before a joyful Farewell Dinner back in Stresa. Overnight in Stresa.


Day 11: Wednesday, July 1 - Return to USA

Depart for Milan Malpensa Airport and your return flight to the USA, hearts full from a pilgrimage through faith, art, and the beauty of Northern Italy.

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel protection is highly recommended. 


PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS:

Deposit: $500 per person due upon registration

Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due on or before 01/15/2026

Final Payment: Balance due on or before 2/15/2026

Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee. 


All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
