Begin in London with Mass at St. Etheldreda’s and visits to sites honoring English martyrs. Continue to Oxford, where Newman’s story unfolds through visits to Trinity and Oriel Colleges, Littlemore, and the Oxford Oratory. A retreat led by Fr. Richard Duffield offers time for reflection and prayer.


A day trip to Birmingham deepens the experience with a visit to the Birmingham Oratory and Newman’s resting place. Throughout, enjoy guided exploration, fellowship, and quiet contemplation, returning home inspired by the saints and scholars who shaped the Church in England.

ITINERARY


Day 1: Sunday, September 6 - Depart USA 

Depart the USA on overnight flights to London, UK. 


Day 2: Monday, September 7 - London 

Arrive in London where you will be greeted by your local tour manager. Celebrate Mass at St. Etheldreda’s Church, the second oldest Catholic church in England, followed by a lecture on Catholic England. Depart London and travel to Oxford. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest before gathering for a welcome dinner. Overnight in Oxford.


Day 3: Tuesday, September 8 - London | Oxford 

Begin the day with a visit to Trinity College, where you will hear from a Catholic academic about the evolution of the Catholic state in England. Continue to Oriel College, home of the Oxford Movement, and take time for prayerful reflection. After lunch on your own, visit Littlemore College, including a memorial dedicated to St. Dominic Barberi. Participate in an afternoon retreat on Newman’s spirituality. Enjoy an evening at leisure and overnight in Oxford.


Day 4: Wednesday, September 9 - Oxford 

Journey to Birmingham and explore Newman’s Birmingham Oratory, including the museum, Newman’s room, and time to venerate his relics. Celebrate Mass and visit the Oratory retreat cemetery, where Newman is buried. Return to Oxford for dinner on your own and overnight.


Day 5: Thursday, September 10 - Birmingham Day Trip 

Visit the Oratory School and enjoy a talk on its Catholic heritage. After lunch on your own, visit the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin, followed by the Oxford Oratory, where J.R.R. Tolkien attended daily Mass. Spend time for reflection and enjoy an evening at leisure. Overnight in Oxford.


Day 6: Friday, September 11 - Oxford 

Depart Oxford and return to London. Enjoy a panoramic tour including sites connected to the Newman family (to be confirmed), followed by a visit to Tyburn Square and the Shrine of the Martyrs. Attend Latin Mass at the Brompton Oratory and venerate the relics of St. Philip Neri. In the evening, enjoy a special farewell dinner cruise along the River Thames. Overnight in London.


Day 7: Saturday, September 12 - Return to USA 

Transfer to Heathrow Airport for your return flights to the USA.

*This price reflects a $400 per person Early Booking Discount for deposits received before December 1, 2025 and an $120 per person Check Discount for those paying the total cost of the tour by check after initial deposit and received on or before the final payment due date.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS: 

Deposit: $500 per person due upon registration

Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due on or before April 9, 2026

Final Payment: Balance due on or before June 9, 2026

Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee. 


All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
