ITINERARY


Day 1: Thursday, September 25 - Depart for Rome, Italy

Depart the USA on overnight flights to Rome, Italy.


Day 2: Friday, September 26 - Arrival in Rome | Assisi

Benvenuti a Roma! Meet your professional Italian tour manager, then board a private motor coach and transfer to Assisi, the City of Peace. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St Mary of the Angels and see the famous Portiuncula where the Franciscan order began. Enjoy a group welcome dinner and overnight in Assisi.


Day 3: Saturday, September 27 - Assisi

Your pilgrimage begins with Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi. Enjoy guided visits of the Basilica and the Church of St. Clare. See the cross that spoke to St. Francis, which led him to a life of piety. Visit the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis to learn about the sanctified life of his newly beatified millennial. Experience local flavor with dinner on your own as you try regional specialties, including olive oil, truffles, Norcia sausage and cheeses. Overnight in Assisi.


Day 4: Sunday, September 28 - Orvieto | Rome

Check out of your hotel and depart for the Eternal City of Rome. Along the way, stop in Orvieto and celebrate Mass at the Duomo, followed by a tour. Enjoy free time to explore before heading to Rome. Check into your hotel then experience the traditional art of pizza-making with a cooking class, followed by dinner. Overnight in Rome.


Day 5: Monday, September 29 -  St. Peter’s Basilica | Ancient Rome Tour

On the Feast of the Archangels, begin with a morning Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica, followed by a tour and opportunity to pray at the altar of St. Michael the Archangel. Finally, process through the Holy Doors at St. Peter’s Basilica. Take a guided Ancient Rome tour that includes the Colosseum, Capitol Hill, and the Roman Forum. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy at your leisure. Join a walking tour of the Trevi Fountain, Patheon, Santa Maria Sopra Minerva and the Piazza Navona.


Day 6: Tuesday, September 30 - The Holy Doors

Today, immerse yourself in visits to three major basilicas of Rome. Begin with the Basilica of St. Paul Outside of the Walls, where you can walk through the Holy Doors, followed by Mass. Next, visit St. Mary Major, St. John in Lateran, and the Basilica of the Holy Cross, which houses many precious relics. Conclude the day with a group dinner.


Day 7: Wednesday, October 1 - Papal Audience | Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel

This morning, attend the Papal Audience with Pope Francis (pending the Holy Father’s schedule). Enjoy a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, where you will view some of the most inspiring works of art, including Michelangelo’s magnificent Last Judgement. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Lawrence Outside the Walls. The remainder of the day is free to explore the city.


Day 8: Thursday, October 2 - Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and Martyrs

The final day of your pilgrimage is on the Solemnity of the Holy Guardian Angels. Begin with Mass at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and of the Martyrs, followed by an afternoon at leisure. Celebrate your last night in Rome with a special farewell dinner.


Day 9: Friday, October 3 - Depart for the USA

Check out of the hotel and head to the Rome airport for your flights back home.

TRAVEL PROTECTION: 

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel protection is highly recommended. 


PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS: 

Deposit: $350 per person due upon registration

Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due 150 days prior to departure (4/28/2025) 

Final Payment: Balance due on or before 90 days prior to departure (6/27/2025) 

Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee. 


All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
