ITINERARY


Day 1: Thursday, September 3 - Depart Chicago for Malta

Embark on a life-changing spiritual journey. Depart Chicago O’Hare International Airport and fly overnight to Malta, where the Apostle Paul once found refuge.


Day 2: Friday, September 4 - Arrive in Malta | St. Paul's Bay & 

Welcome Mass

Arrive in Malta and receive a warm welcome from your European Tour Manager. Transfer to your hotel in the charming coastal town of St. Paul’s Bay. In the evening, celebrate Mass at the Church of St. Paul’s Shipwreck, followed by a festive Welcome Dinner.


Day 3: Saturday, September 5 - Rabat, Mdina & Mosta

Journey to the historic town of Rabat to visit St. Paul’s Catacombs and celebrate Mass in the sacred Grotto of St. Paul. Enjoy lunch at leisure before a guided tour through Mdina, Malta’s silent city, including its beautiful cathedral. If time permits, visit the impressive Mosta Dome. End the day with group dinner and reflection.


Day 4: Sunday, September 6 - Valletta & St. Paul's Relics

Explore Valletta, visiting the magnificent St. John’s Co-Cathedral, home to Caravaggio’s masterpieces, and the Barrakka Gardens, with panoramic harbor views and the noon cannon salute. After lunch, visit the Collegiate Church of St. Paul of the Shipwrecked to venerate his relics. Celebrate Mass before 

enjoying a free evening.


Day 5: Monday, September 7 - Island of Gozo | Ta' Pinu & 

Stations of the Cross

Take a ferry to Gozo to celebrate Mass at the Basilica of Ta’ Pinu, Malta’s National Shrine. Walk the Stations of the Cross along Ta’ Għammar Hill, then explore Victoria’s Citadel, the Cathedral of the Assumption, and the Basilica of the Nativity of Our Lady in Xagħra. Return to Malta for dinner and an evening of grace-sharing.


Day 6: Tuesday, September 8 - Ferry to Sicily | Noto & Arrive in Syracuse

Early morning ferry to Pozzallo, Sicily. Travel to Noto, celebrating Mass at its stunning cathedral, then continue to Syracuse, a city visited by St. Paul. Check into your hotel, then share dinner and reflections on the day’s blessings.


Day 7: Wednesday, September 9 - Syracuse | Early Christian Heritage

Begin with a visit to the Catacombs of St. John and crypt of Marziano, site of Sicily’s first Christian church. Enjoy free time for lunch. Celebrate Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady of Tears, then visit the Duomo and Church of Santa Lucia alla Badia.


Day 8: Thursday, September 10 - Catania & Mount Etna | Arrive in Taormina

Check out and travel to Catania to celebrate Mass at the Cathedral of St. Agatha, then tour the Benedictine Monastery, a UNESCO site. Continue to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano. In the evening, arrive in the beautiful hilltop town of Taormina.


Day 9: Friday, September 11 - Taormina | Final Reflections

Celebrate your final pilgrimage Mass at the Church of San Guisseppe, then tour the awe-inspiring ancient Greek theater. After lunch, climb Mount Tauro to the peaceful Sanctuary of Madonna della Rocca, overlooking the coastline. In the evening, come together for a Farewell Dinner, celebrating the spiritual graces of your journey.


Day 10: Saturday, September 12 - Return home from Catania

Transfer to Catania Airport for your return flight to Chicago. Depart renewed in spirit and heart, with unforgettable memories and deeper faith from walking in the footsteps of St. Paul.

TRAVEL PROTECTION: 

Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) travel protection is highly recommended. 


PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS: 

Deposit: $500 per person due upon registration

Second Deposit: $1,250 due on or before 4/5/2025

Final Payment: Balance due on or before 6/5/2026

Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee. 


All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
