On this tour this tour you'll start in Assisi and walk in the footsteps of St. Clare and St. Francis. Enjoy the beauty and serenity of the classic Umbrian hilltop town before heading to Rome. All of the special opportunities during this Jubilee Year await, including tours of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel and passing through the Holy Doors at all four Papal Basilicas. ITINERARY
Day 1: Thursday, September 25
Depart on overnight flights to Rome.
Day 2: Friday, September 26 - Rome | Assisi
Arrive in Rome and meet your Italian tour manager, then board a private motor coach and travel to Assisi. Celebrate Mass, time permitting, followed by a late afternoon hotel check-in. Gather for a special group welcome dinner and overnight in Assisi.
Day 3: Saturday, September 27 - Assisi
Explore the St. Francis Basilica and the Church of St. Clare, where you’ll witness the cross that inspired St. Francis to embrace a life of piety. Celebrate Mass, then tour San Rufino Church where St. Francis and St. Clare were both baptized. Visit the tomb of Blessed Carlo Acutis, who will be canonized in 2025. Enjoy the evening with dinner on your own. Overnight in Assisi.
Day 4: Sunday, September 28 - Rome | Holy Doors
Depart for Rome, stopping along the way for lunch. Depending on arrival time, tour and walk through the Holy Doors at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Check in to your hotel and gather for a group dinner and overnight in Rome.
Day 5: Monday, September 29 - Papal Basilicas | Holy Stairs
Celebrate a morning Mass, then head to the Basilica of St. John in Lateran and the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls to walk through the Holy Doors. After a visit to the Holy Stairs, enjoy leisure time to explore Rome and its many dining venues.
Day 6: Tuesday, September 30 - Vatican Museums | Sistine Chapel
After Mass, embark on a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, where you will view some of the most inspiring works of art, including Michelangelo’s magnificent fresco of the Last Judgment. Tour St. Peter’s Basilica and walk through the Holy Doors. The remainder of the day is at your leisure in St. Peter’s Square. Overnight in Rome.
Day 7: Wednesday, October 1 - Papal Audience/Optional Walking Tour
This morning, attend the weekly Papal Audience (pending Holy Father’s schedule). Join an optional walking tour of the world-famous Piazza Navona and nearby sites including Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Pantheon. Attend a special optional vigil service for family and friends of the NAC seminarians. Overnight in Rome
Day 8: Thursday, October 2 - Diaconate Ordination Day
Attend the morning Mass and Diaconate Ordination at St. Peter’s Basilica, followed by a reception at the North American College. Join a celebratory dinner with the newly ordained deacon and family before an overnight in Rome.
Day 9: Friday, October 3 - Thanksgiving Mass - Free Day
Begin your day with the first Diaconate Mass, and then the remainder of the day will be unscheduled to allow for shopping, relaxing or touring additional sites. Gather for a special farewell dinner to celebrate this extraordinary pilgrimage. Overnight in Rome.
Day 10: Friday, October 4 - Depart Italy
Transfer to the Rome airport for your return flight home.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS:
Deposit: $500 per person due upon registration
Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due on or before January 31, 2025
Final Payment: Balance due on or before April 30, 2025
Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee.
All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
