Day 1: Wednesday, September 18 - Departure

Depart for Krakow, Poland via overnight flights on scheduled airline.

Day 2: Thursday, September 19 - Krakow

Upon arrival in Krakow, meet your local European tour manager who will be with you throughout the tour. Board your luxury motor coach and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Gather for a group welcome dinner. Overnight in Krakow.

Day 3: Friday, September 20 - Krakow

After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Krakow, including the Main Market Square with St. Mary’s Church. Then continue to Krakow’s Old Town where John Paul II resided while living in Krakow. Spend the evening at leisure to enjoy the city-center. Overnight in Krakow.

Day 4: Saturday, September 21 - Auschwitz | Divine Mercy

Visit Auschwitz*, the largest WWII concentration camp in Europe. Return to Krakow with a stop in Nowa Huta to see the church where John Paul II celebrated Mass during communist occupation. After a holy hour in prayer, explore the Congregation of Sisters of the Divine Mother of Mercy in Lagiewniki, where Sister Faustina worked and died. Tour the convent and Basilica of the Divine Mercy before visiting the “Have No Fear” Center dedicated to John Paul II. Overnight in Krakow.

Day 5: Sunday, September 22 -  Czestochowa

Embark on a trip to Czestochowa, with a visit to the Jasna Gora Monastery, including the Treasure House and the chapel of the Black Madonna. The icon, depicting the Mother of God with the Christ Child, is known as The Black Madonna of Czestochowa. Celebrate and sing during Mass in Czestochowa. Overnight in Krakow.

Day 6: Monday, September 23 - Wadowice

Journey to Wadowice, the birthplace of John Paul II. Explore his childhood home, now a museum, and the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary, where he was baptized. Participate in a pierogi making class and enjoy a group lunch. Return to Krakow for an evening at your leisure.

Day 7: Tuesday, September 24 - Krakow

Enjoy a morning guided tour of Jagiellonian University, where John Paul II studied. Explore Wawel Cathedral, home to Royal tombs and the Coronation Cathedral, where John Paul II became a bishop. Pray a holy hour at the Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslaus. Conclude the day with a dinner celebration featuring music.

Day 8: Wednesday, September 25 - Zakopane

Check out of the hotel and head to Zakopane, stopping on the way at Ludzmiers, a village in the Podhale region. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Zakopane, including a funicular ride to the summit of Gubalowka Hill for a stunning view of the Polish and Czech Tatra Mountains. Experience local cuisine with an overnight in Zakopane.

Day 9: Thursday, September 26 - Zakopane

Travel into the Dunajec River Valley and Gorge. Ride a cable car to Kasprowy Wierch for breathtaking panoramas of the high mountains in the Tatra National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. In the evening, gather for a group farewell dinner at a local restaurant with folk music.

Day 10: Friday, September 27 - Depart for USA

Transfer to the Krakow airport for your return flights to the USA.

Deposit: $500 per person due upon registration

Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due 150 days prior to departure (4/22/2024) 

Final Payment: Balance due on or before 90 days prior to departure (6/19/2024) 

All payments are non-refundable, and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions including the CTS Liability Release. All cancellations must be  received in writing. Penalties will be determined according to postmark date, or date of the fax or email sent by the cancelling passenger
