Experience a seven-night pilgrimage in France, where you will have the unique opportunity to walk in the steps of St. Bernard of Clairvaux. Arrive in Paris and celebrate Mass at Saint-Perre Saint-Paul, which is followed by a tour with special access to the tomb and relics of St. Bernard. Throughout the pilgrimage, you will visit the Abbey of Clairvaux, St. Bernard's Convent and Basilica, and Our Lady of Chartres Cathedral, among other historical sites. You will learn about the life of St. Bernard, and on the last full day, have the opportunity to celebrate Mass at the newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral. ITINERARY
Day 1: Tuesday, October 14 - Departure
Depart on overnight group flights from USA to Paris, France.
Day 2: Wednesday, October 15 - Troyes
Arrive in Paris where you will be greeted by your tour manager and escorted to a private, luxury motorcoach. Journey to Troyes, stopping for lunch along the way. After checking into the hotel, celebrate Mass at the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre Saint-Paul, followed by a tour including special access to the tomb and relics of St. Bernard. End the day with a group dinner and overnight in Troyes.
Day 3: Thursday, October 16 - Troyes | Clairvaux
Depart for the historic Abbey of Clairvaux to celebrate Mass. Founded by St. Bernard, experience a guided tour of this remarkable spiritual site. Afterward, enjoy lunch and free time on your own, then return to Troyes for a leisurely evening and dinner before returning to Troyes.
Day 4: Friday, October 17 - Fontenay | Dijon
Travel to the Abbey of Fontenay, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to celebrate Mass amidst its serene Romanesque architecture and beautiful park. After exploring the abbey’s historic grounds continue to Dijon, stopping enroute at a vineyard for a wine tasting. Upon arrival in Dijon, check into your hotel, freshen up, and gather for a group dinner. Overnight in Dijon.
Day 5: Saturday, October 18 - Dijon | Fontaine-lès-Dijon | Abbey Notre-Dame de Cîteaux | Beaune
Begin the day with a tour of St. Bernard’s Convent and Basilica. Then, transfer to the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Cîteaux to celebrate Mass and join the monastic community in praying the Divine Office. Afterward, head to Beaune for lunch and wine tasting. Return to Dijon for cocktails and appetizers before cherishing an evening at leisure.
Day 6: Sunday, October 19 - Paris | Sacré-Coeur
Depart for Paris to embark on a panoramic city tour, concluding with a group lunch. Then check in and freshen up at your hotel. Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of Sacré-Coeur, home to perpetual adoration since 1885. After a brief tour, prayer, and adoration, the remainder of the day with be at leisure. Enjoy the many charming bistros and elegant brasseries for dinner. Overnight in Paris.
Day 7: Monday, October 20 - Paris | Chartres
Embark on a day trip to Chartres to celebrate Mass at the Our Lady of Chartres Cathedral, followed by a guided tour of this stunning landmark, famed for its extraordinary stained-glass windows. Enjoy lunch and leisure time on your own to further explore the charming town of Chartres. Later, return to Paris for a relaxed evening enjoying local cuisine at your leisure.
Day 8: Tuesday, October 21 - Christian Paris
Begin the day by celebrating Mass at the newly restored Notre Dame Cathedral, followed by a brief tour. Venerate the relics of St. Genevieve and walk through the Latin Quarter where St. Thomas Aquinas once taught, ending with a visit to the Musée de Cluny. After lunch on your own, visit Sainte-Chapelle, then spend the rest of the day shopping and exploring. Come back together for a special farewell dinner.
Day 9: Wednesday, October 22 - Departure
Transfer to the Paris airport for your return group flights home.
