ITINERARY


Day 1: Monday, March 17 - Depart USA

Depart on overnight flights to Malta.


Day 2: Tuesday, March 18 - Arrive in Malta

Welcome to Malta! Arrive and meet your Tour Director to  board your private motor coach for the hotel (pending arrival times). Celebrate Mass and have time at leisure with lunch on your own. Time to settle in and freshen up  prior to enjoying a group Welcome Dinner this evening. Overnight in Malta.


Day 3: Wednesday, March 19 - St. Paul Bay | Mdina | Rabat

This morning begins with a visit to St. Paul’s Bay by boat  and stopping at the shipwreck in St. Paul’s Bay and  Celebrate Mass (pending confirmation). Visit St. Paul’s  Cathedral and Museum. Followed with visits to St. Paul’s  Catacombs and St. Paul’s Grotto in Rabat, where St. Paul took refuge and prayed for three months. Time permitting,  stop at the remarkable Mosta Dome. Return to Malta for a  group dinner and overnight.


Day 4: Thursday, March 20 - Valletta

Depart for beautiful Valletta this morning to visit and  have a guided tour of St. John’s Co-Cathedral and oratory  which houses beautiful Caravaggio paintings, serves as the  Headquarters of the Knights of Malta, and is a UNESCO  World Heritage site. The tour includes the Armory and  the Upper Barrakka Garden and the noon cannon salute  at the WWII Memorial. Then, visit and tour St. Paul of the  Shipwrecked Collegiate, one of the oldest churches in Valletta and see two major relics of St. Paul and Celebrate  Mass. Your tour this day concludes with a visit to  Marsaxlokk, a quaint, charming port and traditional fishing village. Dinner and overnight.


Day 5: Friday, March 21 - Gozo | Victoria | Basilica of St. George

Begin the day with a ferry ride to Gozo, the second  island of Malta, with a possible stop to Comino Island  (pending schedule) and its Blue Lagoon. Visit and  Celebrate Mass at the Marian Shrine of Ta’Pinu, an  architectural masterpiece with superb sculptures and  craftsmanship in Maltese stone. Then, visit Victoria with  the option to walk to Citadella and continue with visits  to the Basilica of St. George and the Cathedral of the  Assumption. Return via ferry to Malta for dinner on your own and overnight in Malta.


Day 6: Saturday, March 22 - Transfer to Rome | Assisi

Depart for the airport for flights to Rome, Italy. Upon arrival, transfer by private motor coach to Assisi. Visit and take a guided tour of the City of Peace starting with Our Lady of the Angels Basilica (“Portiuncula”). Tour and Celebrate Mass at the Basilica of St. Francis, followed with a visit to the Church of St. Clare and the tomb of Blessed  Carlo Acutis. Enjoy your evening at leisure and dinner on  your own. Overnight in Assisi.


Day 7: Sunday, March 23 - Orvieto | Bolsena | Rome

Depart for beautiful Orvieto and Bolsena enroute to Rome. Visit the Duomo of Orvieto and the Eucharistic Miracle of Corpus Christi. Celebrate Mass. Enjoy lunch on your own and time at leisure. Continue to Lake Bolsena and visit the Eucharistic Miracle site of Bolsena at St. Christina Basilica. Enjoy a special group dinner by the lake. Depart for Rome  to check in at the hotel and overnight.


Day 8: Monday, March 24 - Ancient Rome | St. Paul Outside the Walls

This morning, visit and tour the Basilica of St. Paul Outside  the Walls and Tre Fontane Abbey with time for reflection. Then, enjoy a walking tour of Ancient Rome, including the Mammertine prison at the Roman Forum and the Coliseum (optional inside visit). Conclude with a visit to  the Catacombs before a group dinner. Overnight in Rome.


Day 9: Tuesday, March 25 - Vatican Museums | Sistine Chapel

Begin this morning, with Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica  followed by a tour of the Basilica and the Vatican  Museums and Sistine Chapel. Following lunch on your own, enjoy a walking tour of Rome seeing Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, San Luigi dei Francesi, Sant’Agostino and Santa Maria de Popolo – three churches with beautiful Caravaggio paintings. This evening concludes with a Farewell Dinner and overnight in Rome.


Day 10: Sunday, March 26 - Depart for USA or Optional Extension to the Amalfi Coast

An early Breakfast prior to departure. The main pilgrimage group will transfer to the airport for return  flights home, with a separate transfer will be provided for those pilgrims continuing to the Amalfi Coast.

Day 1: Sunday, March 26 - Monte Cassino | Pozzuoli | Naples

With an early morning departure from Rome, enjoy a  beautiful drive to Monte Cassino enroute to Naples. Visit  Monte Cassino Abbey, the resting place of St. Benedict  and St. Scholastica and scene at the end of WWII, and Celebrate Mass. A stop will be made to visit Pozzuoli, the  port of Naples where St. Paul landed (see the view of  Mt. Vesuvius). Arrive to Naples and visit the Cathedral of St. Januarius and the Dominican Convent where St.  Thomas Aquinas lived. Check in to the hotel, followed by  a group dinner and overnight in the Amalfi region


Day 2: Monday, March 27 - Amalfi Coast | Pompeii

Embark on a drive along the beautiful Amalfi Coast and  Celebrate Mass at the Cathedral of Amalfi, housing relics  of St. Andrew the Apostle. Lunch on your own and time at  leisure to enjoy the quaint town. This afternoon, depart for  the ancient Roman city of Pompeii and tour the historic  ruins before enjoying a group dinner to commemorate  the incredible memories from your pilgrimage. Overnight in the Amalfi region.


Day 3: Tuesday, March 28 - Capri

Transfer via ferry for a relaxing day in Capri. Celebrate Mass  at Chiesa di San Costanzo, one of the oldest churches on  the island. Depart for the Villa of San Michele and see the remarkable collection of antique treasures and exotic  flowers. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure and dinner on your own. Returning via ferry and overnight in the Amalfi region.


Day 4: Wednesday, March 29 - Return to USA 

Transfer to the airport for return flights home.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE AND CANCELLATION TERMS:

Deposit: $500 per person due upon registration

Second Deposit: $1,250 additional due on or before October 18, 2024

Final Payment: Balance due on or before December 17, 2024

Please note late payments will incur a $50 late fee. 


All cancellations must be received in writing. Payments are non-refundable and subject to CTS Terms and Conditions, including the CTS Liability Release. CTS reserves the right to cancel any reservation if payments are not made according to the payment schedule. A $25 fee will be added to any reinstated reservation.
