THEME CRUISE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Responsibilities will include elements of planning, preparation, and execution of multiple full-ship and partial-ship charters for existing and future group clients. This is a full-time position in support of affinity groups for artists, musicians, music genres, authors, sports teams, chefs and restaurateurs, etc. to plan group cruises where individual clients cruise with these persons or groups that are near and dear to their hearts. Examples of Corporate Travel’s present and past relationships include Grand Ole Opry of Nashville, TN, Time Life Music’s Malt Shop Memories Cruise, Flower Power Cruise, Soul Train Cruise, 70’s Rock and Romance Cruise, Country Cruise, culinary cruises with celebrity chefs, and countless other themed cruises. Duties include administration of sales and bookings with incoming calls (no outgoing cold-calling), facilitating communications and documentation for passengers, and attending the cruises to assist with programming and administer sales.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administer to incoming phone inquiries by:
    • Providing information on various cruise products
    • Using salesmanship (training provided) to convert inquiries into sales
  • “Up-selling” higher-end options to interested parties
  • Provide timely, complete, and articulate email and phone correspondence with clients regarding the details of their cruise bookings
  • Record booking data into software and work with teammates to manage inventory of available cabin types
  • Produce, analyze, and interpret sales reports, rooming lists, and payment reports for group clients
  • Produce, analyze, and interpret reports for incoming telephone inquiries (volume, sales conversion, demographics, disposition, etc.) using software
  • Process reservations for new clients including the facilitation of credit card purchases
  • Establish and implement payment schedules for individual clients
  • Embrace intermittent and occasional off-hour work hosting evening sales events and attending conferences and/or familiarization trips outside of Southeast Michigan
  • Attend and host theme cruises throughout the year to produce onboard events and administer passenger client

Requirements:

  • Relative experience and desire to work as a member of a team in an in-bound call center environment
  • Ability to work to Saturdays and into the early evenings on a set, rotational basis
  • Robust organizational skills
  • Ability and desire to provide friendly, helpful salesmanship despite repetitive calls
  • Superior written and oral communication
  • Ability to retain composure under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • High degree of integrity
